This facility serves as a Central Command Center for the ESD #7 Service Area. The Project was completed in Two Phases to accommodate the owner’s request to remain on site in full operation during construction. Phase I involved building a temporary apparatus bay, which would later serve as a storehouse for seasonal rescue gear. Phase II consisted of demolishing the existing apparatus bay and dormitory structure and constructing the new two-story Fire Station and parking areas.

Phase I included the construction of a 5,000 sq. ft. temporary apparatus bay that would later serve as storage for extra seasonal rescue gear and a portable generator. This phase also included new electrical service, the addition of an on-site fire hydrant, and upgrades to the existing well equipment to provide improved domestic water service.

Phase II consisted of demolishing the existing apparatus bay and dormitory structure and constructing the new two-story Fire Station and parking areas. The First Floor includes: five double stacked apparatus bays equipped with high speed four-fold bay doors, a repair shop, general storage, conditioned bunker gear storage, conditioned EMS supply storage, a utility closet, four decontamination showers, a decontamination room with extractor, a gear dryer and a washer and dryer for shop use, a fitness center, and a lobby treatment area with public restroom.

The Second Floor includes: twelve dormitories, six bathrooms, a large dayroom, a large kitchen with commercial grade range, three shift pantries, a generous dining area with adjacent 1100 sq. ft. covered patio.  The Second Floor also includes: nine offices, a large conference room, public restrooms, a print room, an IT room, and various storage rooms.  The Second Floor is accessed by three sets of stairs and an elevator. This Fire Station also has a backup generator to serve both buildings in the event of a power outage.
