AS a result of in influx of families into the East Terrell Hills and surrounding neighborhoods, NEISD determined that an improvement to the East Terrell Hills elementary school would be needed to accommodate the future students.
This project consisted of a new 46,000 S.F. two-story addition which includes a new Administrative Area, Counselor space, Clinic room, a new Classroom Wing, and a new Gymnasium. Connecting the new building wing to the existing campus is a series of covered pathways
Vast site improvements were provided in order to accommodate water runoff, shading from the sun, as well as a new parent pick-up and drop-off point and a separate parking area for staff and faculty.
Construction phasing was required so the existing school could remain in operation. The project features a front entry lobby between the classrooms and gym with clearstory windows above to wash the lobby with natural light.
